New York Police Academy
- Client: New York City DDC
- Location: Queens, NY
- Project Cost: $$32,968,356
- Start Date: 8/15/12
In 2010, ground was broken on one of the largest construction projects in recent years in downstate New York. The project involves transforming an open 36-acre police impound lot into a brand new police academy. The flagship academy consists of two multistory buildings, a running track, two parking lots, a muster area and a courtyard.
J-Track was awarded one of the first subcontracts at the onset of the project, which included preparing the site for groundbreaking and site maintenance. J-Track was subsequently awarded additional subcontracts, and will be on-site, as an integral part of the construction process, until project completion in 2015.
Understanding the importance of diversification in a highly competitive market, J-Track bid on and was successful in being awarded projects such as installation of all underground utilities, continued site maintenance throughout the duration of the project, and the furnishing and installation of all interior architectural metals for both of the buildings.
